We have come a long way with adventures, disappointments and a lot of accumulated experience. We were keepers, builders, fishermen, breeders, exporters and simply contemplators of beautiful nature. We lived among Indians, Bushnegroes and learned from them. We studied animals in their habitats and learned how to create comfortable conditions for them in captivity.
We have seen how many of the wild animals find their way into the markets and are used by the local population as a source of protein. We exchanged animals for food for the Indians and released them into nature, but this did not solve the issue - the population, cut off from the big cities, still ate them or exchanged exotic animals for money in order to buy the necessary products.
It was then that the idea came up of creating an organization that could officially import exotic animals from tropical countries into the Russian Federation, thereby saving them from complete extermination by hunters. As a result of the activities of our company, zoo collections have been replenished with such exotic animals as sloths, packas, capybaras, armadillos, many types of parrots, toucans, as well as reptiles and amphibians. We began to cooperate with almost all tropical countries that are members of CITES and allocate a quota for sending animals.
We are very proud that in 2015 our organization became a member of EARAZA, and since 2018 we have become a member of SOZAR. Our activities have also helped us to create a collection of many species of animals that successfully breed on the base Amazonia Zoo LLC.
Amazonia Zoo is a professional animal import and export company. In our work, we are guided by veterinary requirements, CITES (International trade in endangered plants and animals is controlled by a special agreement based on the Convention) and IATA (International Air Transport Association).
We accept applications for the manufacture of transport boxes according to IATA rules (international rules for the transport of animals), as well as containers for feed animals (rats, mice).
